The starlings went into the aviary today. Good luck, everybody!
Starlings amuse me. :)
Remember those baby starlings from a few weeks ago? This is how they look now! And I just got a new one today, named Squirt. He’s the same age as the others. That makes an even dozen. Wow! What a year for starlings.
Next week, they’ll all be going into the aviary to strengthen their wings and start learning some survival skills. They’re going to be great!
THAT’S A LOT OF STARLINGS. THAT’LL BE FOUR BUCKS, BABY, YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT?
This year’s first babies. Three different nests.
Haku had a cluster of seizures last night and this morning. But look at this badass, he don’t even gaf.
And Sano is CONSTANT VIGILANCE.
This year’s first babies: a nest of starlings, as usual.
Look at these dirty birds! Such filthy beasties.
Yesterday at the ocean. Hanging in there, getting better (*knock on wood,* yeah!) and enjoying life.
I FEEL BETTER! My prednisone got lowered, I don’t have to pee as much, my muscles are coming back a little and my bones don’t hurt like they did a few weeks ago. My skin is itchy and I’m losing my hair already, but that’s okay, because FINALLY I feel like playing again! I haven’t played since autumn. It’s great to catch the ball again.
